The Elan Ibex 84 Carbon is a ski built for alpine touring, giving you a lightweight option when earning your turns in backcountry terrain. It’s aimed at those who split their time between skinning up and cruising down, offering a straightforward tool for exploring varied snow conditions.
Featuring carbon reinforcement to keep weight down, each 170 cm ski comes in at just 1270 grams. With a 120 / 84 / 105 mm sidecut, you get enough waist width for float in softer snow while still carving reliably on firmer surfaces. The flat mounting interface means you can fit the touring bindings you prefer, rather than being tied to a specific system.
The listed radii of 19 and 18 meters refer to the arcs formed by the ski’s sidecut—an 18 m radius makes turns feel more responsive, whereas a 19 m radius adds a bit more stability at speed. A flat binding plane simply indicates that the ski isn’t pre-drilled for any binding model, so you have full freedom to choose and position your touring bindings.
